It could add a fun bit of "sequence breaking" for those players that manage to overcome the void difficulties to get to later parts of the Starchart earlier. I also don't see why you can't connect all the dots on the void and use it as a way for people progressing to skip around planets. You could even reduce some of the bloat by putting certain types only on certain missions across the star chart, making it less of a roulette to get the kind you want. If Relic rewards are also in other missions anyway, there's no particular argument that putting them in the void forces people to farm there. The only purpose of the Void right now is Argon Crystal farming, and that is just absolutely unacceptable. You can't even use it for progression from planet to planet, since most paths through the Void are dead ends. Instead, they somehow decided it would be okay if they removed basically all rewards from the Void, making the entire section of the map practically pointless. Unfortunately, it looks like DE decided not to do that. Spare Relics could be sold for Ducats, to make up for the lack of Ducat farming capability in the new Void Tear system. Void missions would grant random relics of a specific tier, so you could gain a large variety rather easily, but if you wanted to get a specific Relic you'd have to go seek them out in rotation B of other missions. I thought you'd be able to acquire Relics by playing missions in the Void, and then go out and use those relics for Void Tears. (#s "Text"), which will appear as Spoiler: or
